Pensacola Bay Bridge Reopens!

May 28, 2021

Pensacola Bay Bridge

The Pensacola Bay Bridge that was shut down in September of 2020 following Hurricane Sally, reopened May 28th at 6am. The majority of the bridge is open to four lanes of traffic (two in each direction) except for a two-lane, half-mile segment just west of the bridge’s arch while work to complete final repairs continues. The speed limit is temporarily set at 35 mph. Tolls for the detour through Garcon Point Bridge will be suspended until June 6th.
